On your Black Paris tour Yyou will walk in the steps of La Baker, stand in the same doorway James Baldwin crossed, browse the market the Beboppers shopped, and visit the bistro where artist Beauford Delaney sipped coffee. Following your Black Pairs tour will be a visit to the Fragonard's Perfume Museum which occupies two stories of 19th Century townhouse. One of the more intriguing exhibits is the orgue à parfum, or "perfume organ," so called because it resembles the keyboards of a seven-manual cathedral organ with its tiered rows of ingredient bottles arranged around a balance or scale that the perfumer uses when mixing and testing fragrances. Have a late lunch with the group near Opéra Garnier, home of the Phantom of the Opera. In case you were wondering, there really is a man-made lake beneath the Opéra Garnier, though no phantoms have been spied recently. Monte Carlo - Monaco

Saturday, September 25th - After breakfast, we check-out and depart France by train for the the Principality of Monaco and the city of Monte Carlo by way of Nice. Monte Carlo is so exculsive that there only few ways to enter. By air via a PRIVATE plane or by ground in a car or motor coach. You will travel along the only road from Nice to Monte Carlo which is the winding mountain road D37 made famous by Grace Kelly in the movie "Catch a Thief" and later her death in a car accident after suffering a stroke.
Monte Carlo that clings spectacularly to the rocky shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Measuring less than one square mile in size, Monaco, an autonomous principality between the French and Italian Rivieras, may be the second smallest country in the world (The Vatican is the smallest), but its image and prominence far exceed its physical parameters. It's a country so luxurious that its name alone is synonymous with indulgence. Monaco's major allure is to live it up, to experience complete and utter luxury, and if only for the night, simply to be in the midst of unbelievable wealth. The people who call Monaco their playground literally are billionaires, and you may think, "Well, is it really that interesting to see rich people in their natural habitat?" We say... Absolutely!
On the way we will stop to visit Saint Paul de Vence for a special wine tasting with Provencal snacks and then a break for lunch on our own and free time to explore the town. Saint Paul is filled with galleries and original prints as well as more affordable artwork. The jewelry on sale at many of the shops is quite affordable and unique. You can also find a variety of local gourmet delicacies like olive oils, wine, and fruit liquors.
Then on to Monte Carlo. Sights include the Old Town and the breathtaking Cathedral of Saint-Nicholas where Prince Rainier III married Grace Kelly and a visit to the grave site of Josephine Baker.
After checking in, enjoy the early evening on your own, then meet back at the hotel for a quick mixer together before a party into the wee hours of the morning at another hot night club. Remember...what happens in Monte Carlo stays in Monte Carlo ;-)

Sunday, September 26th - Start the day at Prince Albert palace for the changing of the guard. Then the day is yours to explore Monte Carlo. Because the entire principality covers just one square mile, nearly everything is within walking distance. Maybe a stop at Larvotto Beach. Perhaps the single most decadently glamorous beach in the world is Monte Carlo's Larvotto Beach, where women may go without their bikini tops, but wouldn't dare to be seen without their jewels. In Monte Carlo there are plenty of places to melt your credit card alongside Europe's high rollers. The chicest clothes shops are in the 'Golden Circle', framed by avenue Monte Carlo, avenue des Beaux-Arts. Another must see is Monaco's Exotic Garden, opened to the public in 1933, its privileged cliff-side setting has exceptional views across the principality. The Musée Océanographique, housed in an elegant building is the home to a collection illustrating the principality's maritime history. The Don't miss the the observatory cave, a large underground cavity with a wealth of prehistoric artefacts.

Later this evening you will dressed to the nines for our "Royal Night Out". Think...Bond...James Bond in the movie Casino Royale! Tonight we will experience truly fine dining at Vistamar, a Michelin starred gourmet restaurant (or other fine dining establishment -- dinner not included). After dinner we are off to the famous Le Casino de Monte Carlo to mix with the rich, famous, and decadent and try your luck at roulette, black jack, punto blanco and slots. The casino is dripping in opulence. Even when you're standing outside, you feel like you're in a private club. Ah, the jackets, the ties, the sports cars, the sheer luxury of it all!
